Kakinada:
A man, his son and grandson were killed in a clash between two groups during Diwali celebrations in Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada district on Thursday.
The bodies of the victims were found soaked in blood in Kazuluru village, with their heads crushed and sickles in their hands.
Police said preliminary investigation revealed that the attack was due to old rivalry and derogatory comments made by the victims towards the accused families.
The victims have been identified as Bathula Ramesh, Bathula Chinni (son) and Bathula Raju (grandson).
Senior police officer Ramakrishna Rao said, “We are investigating the incident from all angles and preliminary evidence suggests a long-running feud between the families. We will arrest the accused soon.”
