Mumbai Railway Police arrested two college students, who are involved in the app robbery scam in Kandivali West
Mumbai: Railway police have arrested two college students, who allegedly used a dating app to woo young men as gay in the secluded region in Kandivali West, where they looted them cash and precious items. The plan was reportedly running for the last three months.
According to the police, so far they have looted about 8 to 10 men. The youth have been identified as 19 -year -old Anubhav Ojha, and 19 -year -old Hankar alias Ravi Jha, both are students in a reputed college. The court sent him to police custody by 23 May.
According to police, a 23-year-old well educated youth registered on a dating app, looking for a single-sex partner. On Friday, 16 May, he was approached by a young man named 19-year-old youth, who expressed interest in the meeting for the same-Sex encounter. The meeting was decided near a warehouse located between Borivali and Kandivali railway stations. The area near railway tracks is usually deserted.
Being agreed, the complainant arrived at the place around 9 pm, however, Anubhav Ojha was with another person, Ravi Shankar alias Ravi Jha. In KNIFEPOINT, both suspects allegedly attacked the victim and looted him in an expensive iPhone, 3-gram gold ring ₹ 30,000, 4-gram gold earrings in ₹ 40,000, and .500 2,500 cash.
The victim immediately lodged a complaint at Borivali Railway Police Station.
