Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Jan Vishwas MLA 2024 has been passed and now traders, industrialists, consumers, shopkeepers or common man will not have to go to jail for small crimes but will have to pay fine for their wrongdoings, said the parliamentary case and the minister. Kailash Vijayvargiya in the Assembly on Thursday.

The minister said that five departments have been included in the bill and are Municipal Corporation, Madhya Pradesh Electricity Tariff Act 2012, Madhya Pradesh Unorganized Workers Board Act 2003, Madhya Pradesh Municipal Rules Act 1956, Madhya Pradesh Municipal Act 1961, Madhya Pradesh Municipal and The sections have been amended. Country Planning Act 1976, Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act 1976 etc.

Highlighting the growing economy of the state, Vijayvargiya said that things are changing in the state. The minister said, “When I was the Industries Minister, Bhopal's trade was around Rs 100-150 crore and now it has increased to Rs 1000 crore.” Praising the IT policy of the state, the Minister said that about 10 lakh youth have got employment in the IT sector.

However, opposition leader Umang Singhar said that according to the new provision, a person will have to take permission from the Municipal Corporation Commissioner before cutting a tree. “Is it possible for a common man to meet the municipal commissioner and seek permission,” he asked.

Congress MLA Dr. Hiralal Alava also expressed concern about tribal villages. The MLA said, the tiger reserve forest projects will displace around 500 tribal villages and a total of 2,000 tribal villages are at risk due to the ongoing mining projects in the state. “The state has to think about us,” he said.
