Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: NCP (Ajit Pawar Faction) Releases Third List

Both factions of NCP released their third list of candidates on Sunday. NCP (SP) announced its list of nine candidates, including actor Swara Bhaskar's husband Fahad Ahmed against Nawab Malik's daughter Sana Malik from Anushakti Nagar.

Apart from Fahadh Ahmed, the party announced the name of Maratha candidate Rajsheb Deshmukh from Parli constituency of Beed against NCP's Dhananjay Munde.

Deshmukh was the Beed district president of Congress and a close aide of Congress leader Rajni Patil.

The names of the nine candidates are: Gyanyak Patni (Karanja), Atul Vandile (Hinganghat), Ramesh Bang (Hingana), Fahad Ahmed (Anushakti Nagar), Rahul Kalate (Chinchwad), Ajit Gavane (Bhosari), Mohan Bajirao Jagtap (Majhlagaon). ) ), Rajesheb Deshmukh (Parali) and Siddhi Ramesh Kadam (Mohol).

Meanwhile, the NCP led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday released its third list of four candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. However, former minister Nawab Malik's name was once again absent, especially amid strong opposition from party ally BJP.

This announcement comes after the party earlier announced 45 candidates on October 23 and 25. The new candidates are: Vijay Singh Pandit (Jeorai), Sachin Patil (Phaltan), Dilipkaka Bunkar (Nifhad), Kashinath Date (Parner).

With this latest announcement, NCP has now confirmed a total of 49 candidates.

Additionally, NCP youth vice president and Maharashtra spokesperson Sana Malik-Shaikh is set to file her nomination for Anushakti Nagar assembly constituency at 11 am on Monday. The area is a stronghold of the NCP, which was earlier represented by his father Nawab Malik.

Sana has dedicated the last five years to strengthening the constituency, carrying forward her father's legacy. Under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and state president MP Sunil Tatkare, he is now set to further extend the party's influence in Anushakti Nagar.
