Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya came to Khajuraho on Sunday to attend the International Film Festival. While interacting with the media, he shared updates on the state's ongoing efforts to set up a film city.

He said that Khajuraho was one of the top contenders for the project, with the city being considered the most suitable location for the film city. After the press conference, Vijayvargiya inaugurated the art exhibition organized under the festival. He said that setting up a film city in Khajuraho will not only boost tourism but will also give global recognition to the famous sculptures of the area.

Local young talents will also benefit from new opportunities. He said that efforts are underway to convert the Municipal Council of Khajuraho into a Municipality. Film stars were invited by Matangeshwar Seva Samiti and Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya under the Khajuraho Film Festival to offer prayers at the Matangeshwar temple.

Actor Rohitash Gaur, known for his roles in popular TV shows like Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain and Lapataganj, and his wife Rekha Gaur visited the temple and participated in the Brahma Muhurat Aarti with Pandit Sudhir Sharma and the Brahma Kumari team. Pandit Sharma also informed the actors about the spiritual secrets of the ancient temples of Khajuraho on this occasion.
