Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A man, who suspected that his father-in-law was having illicit relations with other women, allegedly reached his house disguised as a burqa-clad woman to test his character.
However, his father-in-law recognized his son-in-law because of his shoes and called his neighbours, who severely beat up the man and his friends, police said. Bagh Sevaniya police station TI Amit Soni said Rajesh Singh, 50, who works in a factory in Govindpura, had separated from his wife several years ago and has three daughters.
One of his daughters was married to a man named Vishal Singh. Since the marriage of Rajesh's second daughter was fixed, his wife asked him for money for this. However, Rajesh refuses to give him the money, leading Vishal to suspect that his father-in-law may be spending the money on other women. Suspecting this, on Wednesday Vishal, wearing a burqa, reached Rajesh's house with his three friends.
He had a strange conversation with Rajesh, but Rajesh did not pay attention to it. A few minutes later, Rajesh recognized Vishal's shoes and called his neighbours, who beat him and his friends. Later, the trio were handed over to the police and the motive for the act came to light. Vishal and his friends refused to file an FIR against Rajesh and Rajesh also withdrew his complaint against the trio thereafter.
