However, as per information shared by Allu Arjun's public relations team, the family told reporters today that they are ready to drop the case.

The actor was detained from his house amid tight security and taken to Chikkadpally police station.

Revathi, 35, and her eight-year-old son were admitted to the hospital after the stampede that broke out on December 4 night, when a large number of Allu Arjun fans thronged Hyderabad's Sandhya Theater to watch the actor. He died later.

Based on a complaint by Revathi's family, a case was registered against Allu Arjun and the theater management under the new criminal law, the Indian Code of Justice (BNS).
