Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray visited Poonam Chambers in Worli, Mumbai in Maharashtra, where the fire broke out on Sunday morning.

Speaking to ANI, Thackeray said, “Fire tenders are going in and cooling operations will start soon.” According to Mumbai Fire Brigade, no report has been received yet in the incident.

Officials said that information about the fire was received at around 11.39 am today. The fire reportedly broke out from the second floor of the seven-storey commercial building, he said.

Visuals from the scene showed thick black smoke rising from the flames, which firefighters have almost extinguished.

Till the time of writing the news, MFB, police, BEST, 108 ambulance and ward staff were present on the spot and were engaged in extinguishing the fire.
