Man Accused Of Stabbing His Vlogger Girlfriend To Death In Bengaluru Arrested

The killer spent two days with Maya Gogoi's body in a service apartment in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru:

A man who allegedly murdered his vlogger girlfriend in Bengaluru and spent two days with her body has been arrested, sources said.

Police have not yet shared complete information. Reports say he was arrested outside Karnataka, suggesting that he fled the state after killing his girlfriend.

Maya Gogoi, a vlogger from Assam, was allegedly murdered by boyfriend Aarav Hanoy in a serviced apartment earlier this week.

In a horrific twist, police said the killer spent two days with the corpse in the service apartment.

The investigation so far has revealed that the alleged lover-turned-killer had spent two days with Maya Gogoi's body and most of the time he was sitting in front of the body and just smoking cigarettes.

The police formed two teams and started searching for him.

Aarav boarded a taxi from Hanoi Service Apartment and reached the Majestic area in the Central Business District of Bengaluru and after that he switched off his phone.

According to the police, Maya Gogoi lived with her sister in HSR Layout, Bengaluru.

She had called her sister and told her that she would not be coming home as she was attending an office party on Friday.

Later, she sent another message on Saturday saying that she would not be coming home as she was partying that night too.

Maya's sister told the police that Aarav and Maya were in a relationship for the last six months after meeting on social media.
