Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to ban political speeches in the temples under its care to protect the sanctity and spiritual peace of these places.
The decision came after some politicians posted visuals of them praying and having darshan at the Tirumala complex.
Sources said that he also gave political and hate speeches to the press while standing in front of the temple. Due to this the spiritual atmosphere in Tirumala has deteriorated.
TTD issued a warning saying that legal action will be taken against violators and those propagating such statements.
The residents of Tirumala will be given Srivari Darshan at Tirumala on 3rd December. Tokens will be issued at Mahathi Auditorium in Tirupati and Community Hall in Tirumala at 5 am on Sunday.
The TTD Board of Trustees in its first meeting held on November 18 decided to provide Shrivari Darshan to the local people on the first Tuesday of every month.
Residents of Tirupati Urban, Tirupati Rural, Chandragiri, Renigunta mandals as well as Tirumala can get the token by showing their Aadhaar card.
