Actor Thandav Ram Arrested For Opening Fire At Director Over Stalled Film

Bengaluru:

TV actor Thandaswara, popularly known as Thandav Ram, has been arrested for opening fire at film director Bharat Navunda following an argument over a stalled film. The incident reportedly took place at a producer's office in Bengaluru on Monday.

A case has been registered against him under section 109 of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS), which deals with the crime of attempt to murder.

Thandav Ram, who has played leading roles in television serials Jodi Hakki And Bhumige Bandh Bhagwantahad allegedly paid Rs six lakh to Mr Navunda, director of Mugilpete.

He invested money for a Kannada-Telugu drama titled DevanampriyaIn which he had to play the lead role.

The shooting of the film was going on for two years, but was recently stopped, due to which Thandav Ram had to ask for his money from Mr. Navunda.

However, their discussion on the issue on Monday resulted in a heated argument during which Thandav Ram allegedly fired at Mr Bharat with his licensed gun. However, the bullet missed and hit a wall.
