The knife attack on an oncologist at Chennai's Kalaignar Centenary Hospital on Wednesday – the doctor was stabbed seven times by the son of a former patient and is in a critical condition – has triggered fierce protests among his colleagues, who want Doctors should be armed to prevent such incidents in future.
