A container carrying several cars caught fire on the Hyderabad-Mumbai highway today, causing traffic disruption. Visuals show orange flames engulfing the container, with grayish-white smoke billowing from the vehicle. As firefighters tried to extinguish the fire, eight burnt cars were seen on the container.
Despite the efforts of the fire brigade, it was difficult to control the intense flames. All the cars were completely destroyed in the accident. The container driver suffered 20 per cent burns and was taken to hospital, news agency PTI reported.

Based on preliminary investigation, a police officer said the fire could have been caused by a short-circuit.
The fire caused traffic jams on the highway, with many vehicles forced to stop as emergency teams worked to clear the site and ensure driver safety.
