Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai on Thursday honored the legacy of India's first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary at the Bagiya CM office in Jashpur district. Reflecting on Patel's invaluable contribution, the Chief Minister stressed his important role in India's freedom struggle, describing him as an epitome of patriotism, strong will and courage.

Accompanied by MLA Gomti Sai, the Chief Minister said that Sardar Patel's birth anniversary is celebrated as National Unity Day in recognition of his dedication towards national unity and development of independent India. He emphasized that unity is the foundation of a country's strength and progress, especially in a diverse country like India, where each region celebrates its unique language, culture and traditions.

Chief Minister Sai encouraged citizens to continue contributing to the development of the state and the nation, highlighting unity as a collective responsibility for national progress.

Legislative Assembly Secretary Shri Dinesh Sharma led senior officers in the unity oath ceremony in the Central Hall of the Legislative Assembly complex. The event, organized by the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, reaffirmed the commitment towards national unity and harmony.

Sharma and senior officials paid tribute to the 'Iron Man of India' by paying homage to his oil painting displayed in the Central Hall. The tribute recognized Patel's lasting contribution to the unity and integrity of India.
