India's 156.7 kmph speed sensation Mayank Yadav out of action for a few months. The report revealed the reason

Concerns arose when the BCCI announced on 25 October that fast bowler Mayank Yadav, who had made his international debut in the T20I against Bangladesh, would be ruled out of India's four-match series against South Africa from 8–15 November due to injury. Will not be able to play in the series. Mayank, who took four wickets in India's 3-0 series win against Bangladesh, is likely to be out for a few months due to a back problem, sources have told IANS. Mayank is currently at BCCI's newly created Center of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru.

“He is back here with another problem, which may keep him out for two-three months. Most likely it's something back related, but there isn't much clarity. But then, it is also believed that it keeps him out for a long time.

“The way he came here, it first looks like he will be out for two-three months initially and maybe even more,” the source told IANS.

Mayank, who hails from Delhi's famous Sonet Cricket Club, has undergone extensive rehabilitation after suffering a lower abdominal strain while playing for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024 and has worked on regaining match fitness at the COE (formerly NCA).

In that competition, he caught everyone's attention by taking three quick wickets with impressive accuracy and maintaining a speed of over 150 kmph. Mayank has faced challenges in his cricket journey due to injuries in the past.

He missed IPL 2023 for LSG due to a torn hamstring injury suffered during a practice session before the tournament and another injury ruled him out of the 2023/24 Ranji Trophy altogether, requiring him to undergo rehabilitation in Mumbai. Had to go through.

With the IPL retention deadline approaching on October 31, Mayank is a strong contender to be one of the five players retained by LSG, who bought him for Rs 20 lakh in the auction ahead of the 2022 season.

He caught the attention of the franchise when his then assistant coach Vijay Dahiya saw him ahead of the Delhi-Haryana match in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at the Sector 16 Stadium in Chandigarh in December 2021.
