Indian women's cricket team recently defeated New Zealand, who became the Women's T-20 World Cup champion, by 59 runs. One of the most notable highlights during India's bowling effort was a clever run-out following brilliant foresight from Indian spinner Deepti Sharma. As soon as New Zealand captain Sophie Devine moved forward to stop Deepti's ball, the bowler saw an opportunity. With Devine still out of his crease and not conscious of the situation, Deepti bowled the ball back to wicketkeeper Yastika Bhatia who took out the bails before Devine could return to the crease.
Divine also moved out of the way to avoid Deepti's throw towards Yastika. However, Devine realized his mistake moments later as Yastika removed the bails and India appealed.
