3 women found dead on railway track in Kottayam, Kerala

Police said three women were found dead on a railway track near here on Friday morning.

He said that the age, identity and other details of the deceased have not been ascertained.

Police said it was suspected that the trio jumped on the track when the Kottayam-Neelambur passenger train was going towards Ernakulam around 5.30 am.

However, an investigation is going on, he said. Due to the accident, the train service on the route was interrupted for a while.

Police said the bodies were transferred to Kottayam Government Medical College Hospital.
